Herts Inclusive Theatre
Herts Inclusive Theatre is an award winning registered charity working with disabled and non-disabled children, young people and adults. We offer the opportunity to participate in dance, drama and music in an inclusive environment.
Each individual is valued for their capabilities and their contribution to the group. HIT provides an inclusive atmosphere, we offer a safe, friendly and welcoming environment where all participants are able to express themselves without feeling any prejudice or judgement.
We welcome participants with any ability and have those with learning and physical impairments taking part on an equal level to those without, something they may not get the opportunity to do elsewhere.
We encourage children from all backgrounds and schools to mix and make friends.
Our aims are to use drama, movement, music and theatre techniques to help build people's confidence, communication skills and to help build social inclusion. We aim to use drama to help with people's general wellbeing. We offer participants the opportunity to explore the broadest spectrum of theatre, and let them experience some really unique performance opportunities.
